The Topcon DS-203AC is a 3″ DS Series total station built for high-productivity surveying, construction layout, staking, as-builts, and field measurement applications. As part of Topcon’s DS-200 Series, it combines servo-driven operation, XPointing™ auto-collimating technology, onboard field software support, and rugged jobsite durability for crews that need speed and accuracy in demanding environments. Topcon describes the DS Series as a professional motorized total station designed for construction professionals, with MAGNET® onboard software, LongLink™ communications, TSshield™ security/maintenance technology, and a rugged waterproof design.

The DS-203 model provides 3″ angular accuracy, a 30x telescope, and a dual-axis compensator with a ±6′ range. Its EDM performance includes up to 6,000 m prism range and up to 1,000 m non-prism range, with prism accuracy listed at 1.5 mm + 2 ppm and non-prism accuracy of 2 mm + 2 ppm from 0.3 m to 200 m. Measurement speeds are fast, with fine measurement in 0.9 seconds, rapid measurement in 0.6 seconds, and tracking in 0.4 seconds.

Designed for efficient field workflows, the Topcon DS-203AC includes LongLink™ rover communication, USB 2.0 host/slave connectivity, RS-232C serial communication, Bluetooth Class 1 wireless communication, a color touchscreen display, illuminated 25-key keyboard, and an IP65 dust/water rating. The DS-200 Series also supports auto-tracking workflows, with listed tracking ranges of 2 to 600 m with a 360° prism and 1.3 to 1,000 m with a single prism.
