The Topcon ES-101 is a 1″ reflectorless total station designed for high-precision surveying, construction layout, mapping, and field measurement applications. This model features a dual display and keyboard, laser plummet, and Topcon’s ES Series reflectorless EDM technology, giving crews accurate measurements in a compact, rugged instrument. Topcon’s ES Series documentation lists the ES-101 with 0.5″ / 1″ angle resolution/accuracy, and notes that 1″ and 2″ models include IACS, the Independent Angle Calibration System.
Built for efficient field work, the ES-101 offers reflectorless measurement capability up to 500 m and prism measurement capability up to 4,000 m, with distance accuracy listed at 2 mm + 2 ppm with prism and 3 mm + 2 ppm in non-prism mode. The ES Series also supports fast measurement speeds, including fine measurement in under one second.
The Topcon ES-101 includes practical jobsite features such as LongLink Bluetooth Class 1 communication, USB 2.0 connectivity, RS-232C serial communication, up to 36 hours of battery operation, and an IP66 dustproof/waterproof rating. The ES Series feature overview also identifies the instrument with a laser plummet, electronic leveling system, Star-Key functionality, guide lights, and a dual graphic backlit LCD display and keyboard.
